Each year, Columbia Sportswear teams with Mast General Store to gather gently loved coats and jackets for our neighbors who need them for the coldest part of the year. Columbia kicked off this year’s collection by making its own donation of new jackets.
Reelin' in the Mast Years
In September, Mast Store staff celebrated individual milestone years at the annual anniversary dinner. Celebrants gathered at the Valle Crucis Conference Center to share a delicious meal, good conversation, and heartwarming reflections about their Mast careers. It was a delightful evening filled with lots of laughter and a few good stories to boot.
Once Upon a Time... October 2025
A new employee completed their paperwork and had their first day at the Mast Store. And then, five years, ten years, and more flew by. Happy anniversary to Tina Carter (AV – 20 years), Sue Ward (SF – 15 years), and Shannon Ray (ROA – 5 years) who were all hired in October.
Embrace Appreciation
This year has been defined by resilience and recovery. A year ago, Hurricane Helene devastated our mountain communities, leaving us all reeling from its impacts. Mast was there every day, helping us find a way through the crisis and doing everything we could to support our neighbors and communities. Today, we are slowly but steadily recovering.
