Mast Store's Mountain Strong Fund Reaches Milestone - $200,000 in Donations
Nearly a year after Hurricane Helene blew through the mountains, Mast Store’s Mountain Strong Fund continues to support recovery efforts with $10,000 donations to both Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and United Methodist Committee on Relief office for Ashe and Watauga Counties.
Food for Kids: Merrell Footwear Continues its Program to End Childhood Hunger
For 16 years running, Merrell Footwear has partnered with Mast Store and our food security partners to end childhood hunger. Our sales rep Kent Doobrow and former community relations manager Deb Lazenby started this program as a way to raise awareness of childhood hunger and to also make an impact in our communities.

This year has been defined by resilience and recovery. A year ago, Hurricane Helene devastated our mountain communities, leaving us all reeling from its impacts. Mast was there every day, helping us find a way through the crisis and doing everything we could to support our neighbors and communities. Today, we are slowly but steadily recovering.

Chattanooga is a city surrounded by mountains and rivers. Our store will be located one block from the Tennessee River and in the shadow of Lookout Mountain.
Once Upon a Time... September 2025 - 10, 20, & 25 Years
A new employee completed their paperwork and had their first day at the 
Mast Store. And then, five years, ten years, and more flew by. Happy anniversary to these employees who are celebrating important milestone years in September - Lenore Jamison (OBM – 25 years), Josh Dinco (SF – 20 years), Allison McKone (SF – 10 years), Troy Martin (SF – 10 years), and Rachael Bouthillette (SF – 10 years).

September is Scholarship Month at Mast Store
Each year around September/October, the Mast Store employees begin their annual scholarship fund drive to support the John E. Cooper, III Memorial Scholarship. The deadline to donate is October 15.
